- I shampoo my hair once a week
- Apply a great amount of conditioner and very gently detangle with a wide tooth comb
- Put hair into medium sized twists or braids (with conditioner still in the hair)
- Put a plastic cap on and let it sit for 30 min to an hour
- With the twists or braids still in the hair, rinse conditioner out with cold water or as cool as you can stand.
- Then you can gently take the twists down and add leave in conditioner per section. I am currently using Kim Love's leave in conditioner recipe. Click here for the recipe: Kimmaytube
- Apply a butter mix of your choice to seal the conditioner into your hair, Shea butter is my choice. I mix either jojoba oil, extra virgin olive oil or sweet almond oil to the butter.
- Then two strand twist. I usually pin it up during the week to protect the ends. By Friday or Saturday I take the twists out and wear a twist out for a day before shampooing all over again.
- Every morning, I spray my hair with a water/extra virgin olive oil mixture. You can also use a water/vegetable glycerin mixture or other essential oil of your choice.
- Every 2 to 3 days, I spray my hair with the water/oil mixture and then rub my homemade leave in conditioner over my twists.
- I cover my hair EVERY SINGLE NIGHT with a satin bonnet to protect from breakage and to help keep my hair moisturized.
Love your hair!!
